I was in the book store and was checking out a book entitled LA Graffitti and it featured several nice pictures of Saber’s work.  I heard recently that his giant piece in the LA river was painted over.  That piece is in the book and took almost 100 gallons of paint!  Check it out if you can- it’s pretty amazing.

I had the pleasure of meeting him not too long ago and he was chill.  I had a blank Munny with me and he was kind enough to paint on it and sign it for me.  Honestly- now that these guys are held up as urban heroes- I don’t know how they avoid the cops and how they still manage to throw up their pieces.  I also saw he was featured on Fox News for painting a different version of the American flag to prove a point about the health care debate.  I’m sure all of this can be found on youtube, etc.  Please check out his work!

I haven’t been reading or writing for a while, which is indeed a little sad because I’m pretty into it. I plan on writing about everything, music, books, life, and work so stay tuned.
